Every photo taken and location visited has been an absolute pleasure, and we look forward to continuing to serve the communities of Mount Desert Island and our friends out west for years to come.

Hello Island friends and clients. I am notifying you of a recent law passed on June 18, which affects drone operations near USCG vessels 65ft or longer. As of June 18, I will require prior authorization to fly within 3000ft horizontally or 1000ft vertically of any 65ft USCG vessel. The Bridle, stationed in Southwest Harbor, frequently moves around the island, adding complexity to projects here. I have opened a line of communication with the Coast Guard Station in SWH to ensure efficient operations. A substantial part of my work involves obtaining permission to fly in restricted areas, reviewing FAA maps, and planning. Although drone operations may seem simple, they are governed by numerous regulations and guidelines that must be adhered to.
