Join me April 30 - May 3rd for my Acadia National Park Panorama workshop and learn to take panoramas like these!

This will be my only big workshop in 2027 and the rest will be either small 1 night workshops or private lessons.

This 3 night work shop will have 3 nights of Astro (weather permitting), 2 days of editing practice, take home editing lessons, and take home lectures on panoramas.

I'm looking for 5 people who want to see the BIag picture with me in 2027!

Just a rock floating in space catching some shadows.

The clouds ended up adding almost a cool 3D effect when zoomed out so I'm really glad I did LOL.

1st light on my new to me Rokinon 135 F2.

3.5 hour stack of the eagle nebula, swan nebula, and NGC 6604.

Also about 90 minutes on the Pleiades star cluster. Crazy how much space dust there is.

These were taken at the Maine State star party which I'll have a video on soon!

Looking forward to some insanely detailed mosaics this year.

The cygnus break

One of my favorite regions of the milkyway is the cygnus region. There appears to be a break in the dark dust lanes of the milkyway. In that area there is a ton of hydrogen glowing in the Infrared spectrum. This often shows up as a pinkish or reddish glow in cameras with long enough exposures.

On this night I captured just under 2 hours of exposure time and processed the stack a few different ways.

Perseids fall over Bass Harbor lighthouse

Super happy with how this shot came out and understanding how difficult the shot was going to be and how I feel like I knocked it out of the park.

With 6 months of planning and a great window happening right at the perseids meteor shower, it was just incredible. Plus the insane air glow was just icing on the cake.

A blue hour blend.
