I’ve photographed Sand Beach more times than I can count, but somehow I had never seen it from this perspective.

I sent them running across the beach, climbed up through the trees, and immediately knew this was going to be one of my favorite images I’ve ever taken here. It felt like seeing a place I know so well for the very first time.

I think that’s one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. You can return to the same location again and again, but no two couples, sessions or photographs ever feel exactly the same.

For the couples dreaming about photos in Acadia National Park, this is your reminder that your session can feel like an actual evening together. Run barefoot, climb on the rocks, laugh until your stomach hurts and let Maine be part of the story.

And for the photographers who have convinced themselves they’ve already found every angle at a familiar location, keep looking. The photograph you haven’t taken yet might be right in front of you.

The best wedding days aren’t always the biggest.

Sometimes they’re made up of ocean views, happy tears, heartfelt toasts, and the people who have been there all along.

Christina + Jake chose to celebrate their marriage surrounded by their closest family, beginning with an intimate ceremony at Otter Point and ending the evening gathered around the table at Sweet Pea’s Cafe. It was the kind of day that reminds me why I love documenting weddings in the first place—not because of the details, but because of the people.

I’m so grateful I got to witness and preserve this chapter for them🤍

Some people will understand your elopement immediately.

Others might question it, not get it, or wish you were doing something more traditional.

And that can make it hard to stay confident in a decision that already felt right in your gut.

But choosing to elope isn’t about doing less or “missing out” on anything.

It’s about creating space for something more intentional, more present, and more true to you.

A day that isn’t shaped around expectations, pressure, or performance, but around what actually matters to you as a couple.

There will always be opinions.

But your wedding day is one of the only days in your life that is fully yours to define.

If you’ve been feeling pulled toward something different, trust that feeling.

If you’ve been thinking, “we want something smaller, but we still want it to feel like a real experience”… this is it.

Elopements aren’t about doing less. They’re about doing what actually matters to you without everything else getting in the way.

In Acadia, everything already feels like a moment. You don’t have to manufacture it or force it into something it’s not.

You just show up, and it becomes yours.
