Only God knows what there is to come. He gave me my daughter right before I was about to endure a grief journey less than a month postpartum. Someone to nurture and care for to help me keep going as I navigated loss. Losing my uncle to su***de, someone that felt like another father figure in my life, was one of the hardest and most unexpected losses that I have endured in my life so far. There are still days that are hard and I question why, but I know that my uncle is in heaven where all of his scars of this world are healed now. I'm so thankful for my daughter, and now my son, that keep me going forward. I'm not sure how well I would have coped if I didn't have a little baby that needed me, both mentally and physically. There were so many things in her that helped heal parts of me that I didn't recognize needed healing.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4)

A reminder I have to keep telling myself during motherhood is: to let them help me out, especially while they're interested! Yes it takes more time and patience, but to see the joy on their faces as they help Mama out is such a reward❤️ I'll have to get Hans his own toddler tower soon because they're losing space sharing one!
