oh, hey!
Did you know?
This early 1900s shingle-style cottage on Hammond Street was first owned by merchant Alfred G. Noyes.
He lived here with his wife, the former Mary Parkhurst.
Alfred was part-owner of the Noyes & Nutter Manufacturing Co. that featured Kineo furnaces, ranges, stoves, sinks, tin and galvanized wares at Pickering Square. The foundry was located on Dutton Street. Owner George H. Nutter also lived on Hammond.
Alfred died at the age of 64 in 1921. Mary lived to be 90 and died in 1951.
