A morning exploring downtown Annapolis with Rudolph for his senior portraits! We wandered from the waterfront up to the Maryland State House, taking advantage of all the charming streets, historic architecture, and beautiful backdrops along the way. Annapolis is always such a fun spot for senior photos, and I love how much variety we were able to capture in one morning!

Some photos are just meant to be seen in black & white. 🤍

I love the way a black & white edit can change the entire feeling of an image, but I never want you to have to choose between that and the full-color version. When I find an image that I think works beautifully both ways, I’ll often include the black & white as a bonus in your gallery.

When Damini and I chatted before her and Clark’s engagement session, one thing Damini mentioned was wanting some of their photos to feel a little more environmental, capturing not only the two of them, but the incredible landscape around them too. Ocean Point definitely delivered. 🤍

These are a few of my favorites from the more environmental portrait part of their session: capturing the rocky Maine coastline, golden evening light, and the two of them right in the middle of it all. Which one is your favorite?

A senior session that feels completely her ✨ Libby chose the Annapolis Yacht Club for her portraits, which was the perfect backdrop for a senior who spends so much of her time sailing. I loved getting to incorporate something that’s such a meaningful part of her life into these photos!

More from the archives because this sunrise proposal deserves a second post. ☀️

After the "yes," we had the whole beach and all that early morning light to ourselves. This is the part of the job I love most: the in-between moments right after the big question, when everyone's still catching their breath and the joy is completely unfiltered.

Little Hunter's Beach at sunrise might be one of my favorite spots I've ever photographed, and getting to capture a proposal there made it even more special.
