HAPPY PRIDE, Y’ALL 🎉🌈
I know June comes with a lot of noise. Rainbow capitalism is real, the discourse around it is loud, and I think this sometimes makes people who genuinely care go quiet out of fear of getting it wrong. Internet cancel culture is definitely a thing and it can make even the most well-intentioned people freeze up. But silence from the people who actually care? That’s not it either. So if you’re sitting on a pride post right now wondering if it’s your place to share, it is... promise.
And then, if you want to do something with a little more staying power than a post, I got you covered.
Just a little reminder that I’ve created a free business audit designed to help you improve q***r visibility and inclusivity in your business. You can find it linked in my stories today (and living permanently on my education page). It walks you through your entire business with actionable steps to increase q***r visibility and inclusivity through across everything like intake forms, the language on your website, contracts, the way you show up with clients, building portfolio, and more.
And if any part of that process brings up questions or makes you want a little more support, that’s exactly what my coaching program is for. No judgment. No cancel culture for asking something you might not know yet. Just a space to ask the questions, to receive genuine support, to make the mistakes you can learn from, and actually improve.
After all, am I perfect? Nope. I’m learning right alongside you, but I think that’s what makes all of it worth doing. Nobody’s at the finish line— we can learn and grow from each other as we make the wedding industry a more inclusive and welcoming place for everyone.
Allyship and pride are practices, not just a month on the calendar. June is just a good reminder to actually do the work, and this is a solid place to start. 🌈
Now if you need me, you can find me being insufferably gay for the rest of the month 💅💅
