Quiet moments in a Baltimore garden ✨

When R & S reached out, they knew that Rawlings was their ideal backdrop — with their shared love of horticulture and desire to pay homage to tropical Colombia (where they’ll later be tying the knot), I couldn’t agree more. These are some of my favorites 🤍

A wedding day full of intention and family moments — in talking with Sam & Robert before the wedding day, it was very clear that they placed priority on paying homage to the loved ones who’d be present. Some of my favorite moments:

1️⃣ They surprised both moms with gifts throughout the day (custom handkerchief and purse during getting ready, a necklace during cocktail hour, and bouquet dedication during reception).

2️⃣ The roles that Sam’s grandmother played throughout the day made me smile. A sample of her dress was stitched into Sam’s gown (which was a surprise revealed to her day-of) and they shared a special moment pre-ceremony wherein grandma fastened Sam’s “something blue” bracelet.

3️⃣ Ring-warming during the ceremony, where parents and grandparents took a moment to hold the rings and press prayers/warm wishes into them before S & R exchanged the wedding bands.

4️⃣ Extended cocktail hour, allowing guests to truly enjoy one another’s presence, get to know other friends/family members, and talk with the couple in a non-rushed environment (this honestly might get a post of its own in the future because it was so fun).

5️⃣ The best man’s speech was probably the best I’ve heard all year and deserved honorable mention. I cried…like a lot.

6️⃣ Surprising wedding guests with awards/gifts during the reception(“First person to RSVP”, “Person who traveled the furthest”, etc.)

It was a true honor getting to be a small part of this day — grateful grateful grateful 🫶
