I got into photography in 2010 when my husband (then boyfriend) bought me a DSLR camera for my birthday. When I bought my first lens, I asked one of my best friends, Damara, to let me come over and practice on her newborn. Looking back, the pictures were far from perfect, but they were of a family that is very near and dear to my heart and really showed the love that Damara had for her newborn bab

y. The pictures meant a lot to Damara and her husband and the reaction that I got when I showed them the photos made my heart melt. Those same photos are hanging in their house among the countless others I've taken over the seven years I've been documenting their family's growth. I've surprised myself by how passionate I've become about photography and how it's driven me to constantly grow as I move forward. I often though that having a baby myself would cause this hobby to fall by the wayside but instead it's made me even more excited about capturing my own family's moment but other families', too. I offer various packages for portrait sessions; pricing starts at $200 for 2017. I also take on a limited number of weddings a year. Wedding packages start at $2,500. Attention fellow parents who might have waited too long to schedule a photo session, couldn't muster the energy to put outfits together or just didn't even think about family photos until this very moment! I typically stop shooting for the year the weekend before Thanksgiving but I've extended to one more weekend as an ENORMOUS favor to my husband to help him out with an MBA program assignment. So on Sunday, 11/28 I'm partnering with him and his team (team name: Ho Ho Photos) to offer 10-minute "micro sessions" from 9-11am in Linthicum for those interested in getting last-minute photos done. Hi, everyone! It's me! I'm still here but somehow my usual January through March social media hiatus turned into almost an entire year. I blame general pandemic exhaustion compounded with motherhood and a full-time job. I'm still doing photography but found that I needed to scale wayyyy back in order to prioritize the thing that matters most - family. My posts might be spaced out quite a bit more but I'm not giving up this little biz that brings me so much joy (at least not yet). 🥰

I have to work this week and I'm definitely feeling blue over the end of the Christmas holiday. I always feel this way this time of year but I think it's worse for 2020 because of obvious reasons. I've got to think of some good things to look forward to over the next few months before spring arrives. Any suggestions?!
