BREAKING: I thought I broke my sourdough starter… but I just missed the best part 😳

It rose. It doubled. Then it collapsed before I even caught it.

So now I’m realizing… timing matters more than anything.

Not the jar. Not the tools. Not even the “hack.”

Just catching it at the RIGHT moment 👀

Did yours ever rise and fall before you saw it??

03/19/2026

I almost spent money on a proofing box… then made one for basically FREE 👀

Warm. Controlled. Consistent rise.
That’s all your starter actually needs.

No fancy gear. Just using what’s already in your house.

And yeah… it worked better than I expected 😳

Would you try this or just buy one?

03/19/2026

Wait… I just realized my starter already doubled and fell before I even hit record 😳

That line on the jar doesn’t lie. If you’re missing your peak, you’re not alone… but it changes everything once you catch it 👀

Doubling your feed = real results. No guessing, no fluff.

Did yours ever rise and fall before you caught it?

Starting our little kitchen herb garden 🌿

Planted parsley, basil, cilantro, rosemary… and I linked the exact kit we used because I wanted something simple and low effort.

If this actually works, I’m done buying those sad little herb packs every week 😅

Have you had success growing herbs inside or do they always die on you too?

You don’t actually need fancy raised beds to grow vegetables.

I’ve been seeing people use five-gallon buckets, plastic kiddie pools, and even old wood pallets to grow food in their backyard.

Some people lay a pallet flat and staple w**d fabric to the sides to make a shallow garden bed. Others stand two pallets up and grow strawberries so they cascade down the wood.

Honestly… if it holds soil, plants seem pretty happy.

These kinds of setups are perfect if you’re renting, don’t want to dig up your yard, or just want to try growing a few things without spending a fortune.

Now I’m curious… what creative backyard garden setup are you using this year?

03/16/2026

Apparently people are growing vegetables in everything except actual garden beds 😂

Laundry baskets for potatoes
Stacked milk crates for veggie towers
5-gallon buckets for tomatoes

Honestly… plants don’t care what the container is.

Perfect if you’re renting, short on yard space, or just don’t want to spend a fortune on raised beds.

Now I’m curious… what random container are YOU growing vegetables in this year?

My first time using a Dutch oven and I’m 48 😂

I kept seeing everyone cook with these and finally tried it with my new pink Dutch oven. Beef stew, carrots, potatoes… and honestly I had no idea if I was doing it right.

Tell me the truth… did I ruin dinner or does it look good? 👀

Easy Dutch Oven Beef Stew

Ingredients
2–3 lb beef chuck roast, cut into chunks
2 tbsp oil
1 white onion, chopped
3–4 carrots, sliced
3–4 potatoes, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
3 cups beef broth
2 packets slow cooker pot roast seasoning
2–3 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
1. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
2. Season beef with salt and pepper, then brown the chunks on all sides.
3. Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook about 2 minutes.
4. Pour in beef broth and stir in the seasoning packets.
5. Add carrots, potatoes, and celery. Stir gently.
6. Cover with the lid and place in the oven at 300°F for about 3 hours until the beef is tender and the vegetables are soft.
7. Stir and serve hot.

It thickens into a nice gravy as it cooks.

I thought if I just carried ALL the mugs at once I could make one big round of coffee and be done.

Instead I missed my mouth and somehow poured coffee on my own chin.

Morning coffee: 0
Kitchen chaos: 1

Anyone else doing ridiculous things before their first cup?

Kitchen myth of the day. People think you need fancy tools and complicated recipes to cook good food. Truth is most great meals come down to one pot, simple ingredients, and actually using what’s already in your kitchen.

I’m testing out some new colorful cookware and seeing what it can really do. If you cook at home, what’s the one kitchen “rule” you think is totally overrated?
