MY TOP TIP for family sessions with teenagers 👇🏻

Plan your session around an activity.

Most teens don’t want to spend an hour standing around posing (and honestly… I don’t blame them 😅). But they are much more likely to have fun if they’re doing something together as a family.

For this session, we went berry picking. 🍓 Big sis didn’t have to “perform” for the camera—she just picked berries, laughed with her siblings, and enjoyed the moment. (Miss Ami was an absolute champ, as always. 🤍)

The result? No battles. No tears (from the kids or the parents 😂). Just genuine connection, lots of laughter, and photos that actually feel like them.

Sometimes the best family photos happen when everyone forgets they’re taking family photos.

Think outside the box. 😉
