My name is Ashley and I am the owner and founder of Ashley dePencier Photography. Since I was a little girl, I have always been captivated by the romance and passion of fairy tales. The stories full of chance meetings, whirlwind romances, courtships, and blossoming love always ended with my favorite part; a beautiful wedding. When I began to study photography, I came to realize that the magic of e

veryday love was even better than a fairy tale. Each story is so unique, and this time I get to be the storyteller. As a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography, I have an education behind me that has taught me how to handle multiple photography situations and settings. I specialize in capturing natural light, which makes my subjects seem to glow from within. In each wedding, I work to capture the love and light I see in you, your friends and family, and the setting. Ashley dePencier Photography is located in central California but we love to travel! Locations farther than a one hour drive are subject to travel fees, which are calculated based on location, hotels, airfare...etc. We specialize in weddings, under water fashion, and boudoir photography.

Sometimes I forget how big my kids areā€¦until I do a newborn sessionā€¦then suddenly they are giants! It makes me realize how quickly time really goes by. They are only newborns for a blink of an eye and I just love that I get to freeze that small moment in time for all of you.

Yesterday, my friend messaged me to see if they could grab one of their newborn photos for thank you cards. I said no problem. Iā€™ll have it by the end of the day. I just recently shot this session for my husbandā€˜s college best friend and his wife. I have been so excited to edit these images, but the Easter break of course gave me no reprieve from my children. So I went about my day and at 7:30 at night realized I had not edited the picture yet. I was able to get him this beautiful image of his baby girl, but what you guys canā€™t see is that it took me two hours to do this one photo not because of editing time but because of my four children needing things it was bedtime we needed stories, Red and baths done and the baby needed to nurse. So I was up and down and back-and-forth until about 9 oā€™clock when finally the baby woke up to nurse again so at 9:30 PM, I was sitting on my computer in the dark nursing and editing this picture one-handed and I looked at my husband and I said no thatā€™s the kind of stuff I need to be posting online, but who wants to look at a video of me in the dark nursing a baby? So my husband can vouch for me but how did I get this picture done? One-handed. Itā€™s crazy being a mom and Photographer at the same time. The struggle is real!!
