Are we done yet?

One of the things I love most about newborn photography is that every baby is different.

I allow up to two hours for every newborn session because babies set the pace. Sometimes they need extra feeding breaks, cuddles, and soothing. Other times, like this sweet girl, they let us know they've had enough a little sooner.

If we've captured a beautiful variety of images and your baby is clearly telling us they're finished, we listen. My sessions are always baby-led, and your little one's comfort and safety will always come first.

This expression says it all.

Newborns change more in the first 14 days of life than at any other time. One day they're tiny, sleepy, and curled up in your arms, and before you know it, they've already changed.

This is why I recommend booking newborn photos within the first 5 to 14 days after birth whenever possible. During this short window, babies are often sleepier, more flexible, and naturally settle into those sweet newborn poses.

One of the things I hear most often from new parents is, "I don't know if I'm ready for photos."

The good news? You don't have to be.

I provide the wraps, props, styling, and guidance. Before your session, all I ask is that you feed baby right before arriving, dress them in loose clothing, and try to keep them awake for a little while beforehand if possible.

After that, you can relax and enjoy these first memories with your new baby.

These days go by so quickly. The tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, little stretches, and curled-up poses won't last long, but your photographs will help you remember them forever.
