Happy spring! 🌸🌷☀️

I am so excited to begin booking sessions after a bit of a break this winter to focus on moving…don’t worry, I didn’t go far!

In the meantime, I want to share some of the fun lifestyle images that I’ve taken as an employee at Dover Saddlery! I’ve been fortunate to work in the creative department for the past 8 years, and part of that role includes photography. I’ve been permitted to share some of that work here, so here are just a handful of favorites from the past couple years. Some of these were created to get different angles and other scenarios around the barn while our talented photographer Mark worked, and others were made with myself as the primary photographer at the shoot. All were only made possible by a huge collaborative effort by our talented Dover team and the amazing professionals we hire to work with us! I can photograph equine products exclusively for Dover, but can still be hired for other types of lifestyle photography. If you’d like to have similar visuals to support your own equine business as a trainer, barn owner, braider, bodyworker, etc then this type of imagery can be created to cater to your brand.

DEANFIELD MCGINTYS PRIDE “MERRY” ☘️

I had so much fun visiting an old friend this fall to photograph her beautiful young Irish Draught, Merry! Through social media, I’ve watched her grow all the way from a tiny baby to a stunning and well-mannered mare- so I was excited to finally meet her in person! She was a pleasure to work with for both her traditional black-background images and some outdoor headshots against the fall leaves. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this very special girl!

NATALIE & KIKI ☀️

Sharing another great senior session and missing that warm sunlight of early fall! I had so much fun meeting and photographing Natalie and Kiki back in September. We got really lucky with perfect weather that allowed for both summer floral and fall sweater-weather vibes. These girls were excellent models, and I loved having the opportunity to create portraits at this beautiful farm for the first time! Seniors were the most frequently booked horse and rider session types for me this year, and I was really impressed by how kind, respectful and ambitious every single one of them was. Horse girls are well on their way to running the world! Wishing you all the best as you finish your senior year, Natalie!

NIAMH & SAMANI 🍂

Fall leaves were in full swing for this senior session, and the beautiful colors were the perfect backdrop for these stunning girls! Niamh is such a kind human and hard-working rider, and I had so much fun photographing her with her lovely mare. We also ventured to a beautiful nearby location for some images of Niamh on her own. Although the photos with ponies are everyone’s favorites, yearbooks often do not allow the inclusion of horses for official senior portrait submissions…so here is a reminder that all of my horse and rider sessions can include allocated time for human-only shots when you book for senior or engagement portraits. I’ve included one of my favorites from that portion of this session. Hope the rest of your senior year is great, Niamh!

MAHRE & KINGSTON 💙

After a busy fall full of great sessions, I wanted to take time to share some recent photos! First up is a session that was extra special, because it included the cutest pony in the world (but I may be biased 😉). Mahre is a former leaser of Kingston, and wanted to have him featured in her senior portraits. She came out to visit us and do her session on a beautiful evening early this month- the weather and lighting were both perfect. Wishing you luck as you complete your senior year, Mahre!

ERIN & CHESNEY 🧡

I recently photographed this pair for Erin’s senior portraits, but our session happened to fall on the day of another special occasion as well- their 7 year anniversary! I actually met Erin years ago when she and Chesney were just beginning their partnership, and it’s been amazing to see how far they’ve come and watch Erin’s dedication to great horsemanship continue to grow. If you’ve been to Equine Affaire in recent years, you may recognize Chesney as one of the ambassadors for the Arabian breed! The beautiful property where they are currently boarding was a perfect location to photograph them- it felt like they were riding right through a painting sometimes! Best of luck with your senior year Erin!

KINGSTON 💙

Happy (almost) summer and happy pride to all! ☀️🌈

With all the time I spend creating portraits of horses for clients, I decided it was time to get some art on my own walls and do some updated portraits of Kingston! June 1st was the 5 year anniversary of when this pony became a big part of my life, so the timing seemed appropriate. 💕 Let this also be a reminder that traditional black backgrounds look amazing for equine fine art, but there is also opportunity to switch things up! Whether you would like to match a particular decor style that blends seamlessly into your home, or you’d just like to be creative, we can work together to make more custom images in addition to the black background photos from your session.

ADELINA & DHIPLOMAT 🍁

If you went outside in the freezing winter weather today and questioned why you live in New England, here are some fall colors to serve as a reminder of one of our best perks! Addie chose a beautiful October day for her senior portrait session, and Dhude’s chestnut coat fit right in with the scenery. Her older sister Hannah joined them for some cute portraits as well!
