View looking north over the black sand beach from Dyrhólaey. This is near Vik in . Not why this beach is actually called that, all the beaches are black sand, really mostly black rock. Put it in black and white because it has been a black and white day here.

Since it is so hot back home, here are a few icebergs to cool you off today. The second has a snow bunting on it.

Managed to get out and snap a couple cell phone shots of the aurora last night. This was toward the end, as I turned to go inside I noticed the sky was really bright red, almost like a sunset. Very easily seen with the naked eye

A couple of shots from the weekend. Shot both with my R6 and 100-500. The hummer was shot at 1/4000th, iso6400. The kingfisher and osprey seemed to be having a standoff over the Dan River for a prime fishing spot.
