Getting ready photos will always be some of my favorite! The excitement and nervousness of the day always leaves the room buzzing!⠀
⠀
⠀
Here are a couple of tips to ensure you have the best possible getting ready photos and make your photographer so happy:⠀
(photographers save this so you can tell your brides)⠀
⠀
» Pick a spot by a window. Photographers need the most natural light as possible to get amazing photos! Any overhead lights or lamps can lead to odd colors! Us photographers will move you anyway, so it makes more sense for you and your makeup artist to know this so we don't have to interrupt the magic!⠀
⠀
»Okay, so you have your spot by the window but another tip is to make sure there's no clutter around you! Getting ready rooms can be littered with water bottles, candy wrappers, curling irons, makeup bags, underwear, and anything else that goes into this beautiful part of your day. However, you don't want all of this to be in your pictures. Your photographer should know to move this stuff out of the way, but if you know ahead of time then your photographer doesn't have to take time away from taking photos to make sure it's done!⠀
⠀
» Brides! When you're getting makeup and hair done and you have a strapless dress, don't wear a bra! Or if you have to a very soft one, I can't tell you how many times brides have indents on their shoulders showing in their getting ready photos!⠀
⠀
» Lastly, have your jewelry, shoes, invitation suite and any other details you'd like photographed in one designated spot. This way we don't have to hunt for everything when we arrive which will save time and stress!⠀
⠀
Brides, is there anything else you wish you would've known that would've made your wedding day easier/less stressful? Photographers, what is the best advice you give for getting ready photos?⠀
