A little change I’m making moving forward 🤍

After the recent court ruling surrounding CSAM material, I’ve spent some time thinking about what I want my photography page to look like going forward. And honestly, this decision comes from a place of love.

I love your babies. I love getting to photograph their little personalities, their smiles, their giggles, and all of the little moments that make them who they are. It is such a privilege when you trust me to capture these memories for your family.

As a mom myself, I know how incredibly important your babies are to you. And as a preschool teacher, I get the privilege of caring for and loving on little ones every day. I understand just how precious they are, and I want you to know that I value your babies and their safety just as much as I value the memories I’m trusted to capture.

Because of that, I’ve decided that I will no longer be publicly posting images that show young children’s faces on my photography page. I know this may mean I have fewer images to share, but I’m okay with that. This is a public page and that comes with risk.

These are your babies. They deserve to have their innocence protected, and I want to do everything within my control to help keep them safe.

This decision isn't meant to scare anyone or tell other photographers what they should do. It’s simply what feels right for me, my business, and the families who trust me.

I’ll still treasure every image I take, and your galleries will still be filled with all of those precious memories. I just want to be a little more intentional about what I put out into the world.

Your babies are more important to me than a social media post will ever be. I love them, I value them, and I want them safe. 🤍

Ace and Megan made the prettiest picture. The sweet love between a dog and his owner is unmatched.

As I worked with Ace and Megan this weekend I was reminded of my sweet LouAnn, she was my childhood yellow lab. She passed away a week before I moved off to Tennessee but I think about her every single day. I miss her so much, please know you can ALWAYS bring your babies with you to your shoots. Let's create these memories for you to have forever. 🐾

I’ve had some rough sessions lately. Not with posing, not with outfits, not with my settings, but with people’s mouths.
I work hard to create a family friendly environment for my clients and for bystanders that are around my sessions.
So, a little reminder moving forward:
Please watch what you say.
If your child says something disrespectful, inappropriate, or just plain out of pocket, please correct them. Kids are kids, and I understand that things slip out, but what matters is how we handle it. Parents, parent your children.
And this applies to adults and teenagers, too. I shouldn’t have to ask grown adults or teenagers to watch their language in a family friendly environment.
Moving forward, if foul or inappropriate language continues during a session, I will stop the session and we will dismiss.
My clients represent my business just as much as I do, and I will not have the people I photograph representing my business in a way that goes against the environment I’ve worked hard to create or using my God’s name in vain.
I’m not asking for perfection. I’m asking for basic respect and awareness of your surroundings.
And just to be clear, I’m not above matching energy. I’m kind, I’m understanding, and I give grace, but I also have boundaries.
Please respect them.
