I firmly believe in continuing your education and staying up on what's happening in your industry. So last week I did a mentorship with Drzazga Photo because I'm completely obsessed with their style. (They were also my wedding photographers two years ago!!!!!)

Carly seriously blew my mind with what all she showed me in a little over an hour. So I came home and dug up an old hard drive and pulled some of my old senior sessions up.

I still have a lot of practice to really find *my* style of edit and nail it every time, but I'm super happy with the changes so far!

Gracie was gorgeous in the original, but I'm digging the muted tones in the recent edit!

So....I shot my first family session in about 12 years or so!!!

When I moved back to Austinburg, Michelle was the first person I met at the gym. In the small world that is our town, I found out she was married to Wes, a guy that was a few years older than me that I knew from high school.

Welp... not long after that, they actually divorced. But they both committed to being the best parents they could be for their son.

This is co-parenting at its finest. They did this shoot TOGETHER for their son. And it's so awesome to see this and be part of it. No awkwardness, no tension, no trying to keep them separated! They were both hands on through the whole thing and trying to help me wrangle the wild child (lol) so the other one could get great shots with their son.

You guys. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE! That adorable little boy is loved by his mom and dad and they totally proved it during this session...

I've been hearing about the benefits of essential oils for a LONG time now. Friends of mine have raved how great the effects are. I've been so curious but never jumped in to learn more...until now! Everyone knows I've been into health and fitness for a while now and I have no idea why I waited so long to incorporate these into my overall health and well-being!
