✨ September Meeting Recap: The Art of Retouching ✨

Our September Austin PPA meeting was all about The Art of Retouching with Elena Fontenot of Fontenot Photography!

Elena shared a little of her journey into retouching, from working with high-fashion magazines to now focusing her retouching skills on her own photography and business.

She walked us through a couple of ways photographers can begin developing their retouching skills and shared tips for maximizing the little details that can make a big difference in a finished image. From subtle refinements to those intricate details, it was a great reminder that retouching is truly an art form of its own. 🎨📸

A big thank you to Elena for sharing her knowledge, experience, and creative insight with our Austin PPA community!

We had a wonderful meeting in August at Round Rock Studio! 📸

We had the opportunity to tour the facility with Brent, the owner, who showed us all the possibilities available to creatives using his studio.

We even had models join us so we could test out different areas of the studio. The space includes an amazing changing room where models and clients can comfortably change between outfits, as well as a podcast area for creatives who need that type of setup.

We also had a great presentation on how to properly use a light meter, which was such a helpful learning opportunity!

If you’re a photographer or creative looking for studio space—especially a larger space with a variety of options—Round Rock Studio is definitely a location to consider.

We also want to recognize our August Image Competition winners, Kim Schuh Kimberly Schuh Photography and Richard Childress RLC Images! 🎉📸

Congratulations, you guys! You’re doing great work, and we love seeing your creativity and talent on display. Keep it up! 👏

Thank you, Brent, for welcoming us and giving us a chance to see all that your studio has to offer!
