Quick 4 day job in Austin, TX this past week to help cover the photo side of a conference alongside

In shoots like this it’s hard to get a lot of variety of shots, so I utilized the crowd most of the time. Getting low and getting shots of the speakers in between the crowd (Slide 3) and people listening / taking notes (Slide 11) were a couple ways I added a little variety to the deliverables.

At the beginning of the year I had originally wanted to go to Machu Picchu on my birthday and but ended up in Australia for the CT event, so that idea was getting pushed back.

I got a call about a week before this trip for a 11 day cam op job for ISA World Juniors in Peru. Instantly I knew I had to extend to check Machu Picchu off the bucket list. It was a scramble but made it all work and got insanely lucky with weather the entire 2 1/2 weeks I was there.

Flights to and from Lima were covered for the job which eliminates the main airfare cost. Everything else outside of it was on my own dime (since it’s unrelated to the original job) but credit card points essentially covered the rest of this trip.

Pretty cool to be able to help document the next generation of surfing and a small aspect of life in the countryside of Peru.

You guys ate up the last one, so I did some digging around and found my very first hard drive filled with photos starting around 2014 and until early 2019. I guess I was proactive and made a “website selects folder” so that’s where these came from.

Most of these were when I had already bought my first water housing when I shot with the Nikon D3200 & D500 from 16-18 years old.

Might have to make a post from the GoPro Hero 3 days from 13-16 years old 😂
