As a traveling photographer, there’s nothing quite like packing up my gear and hitting the road to capture special moments all across Texas. Whether it’s exploring classic architecture or framing a quiet moment in a new town, traveling for my clients is easily one of my favorite parts of this job.

This recent trip brought me up to Fort Worth for a session that was particularly close to my heart. We blended a senior portrait session for my nephew, Braden, with a special send-off photoshoot for him and his girlfriend, Serenity. Braden is kicking off his senior year of high school, and Serenity is taking a huge step forward—shipping out to Missouri on August 30th for U.S. Army basic training with her sights set on becoming a Military Police officer!

Knowing they’ll soon be trading phone calls for good old-fashioned letters while she’s away, capturing these sweet, grounded memories before her big transition meant the world to me.

Road trips, milestone moments, and storytelling across the Lone Star State—it doesn’t get much better than this. If you’ve got a special location in mind anywhere in Texas, I’m always ready to roll! 📸🚗✨

When talent and vision run in the family, magic happens. ✨

My long-time friend Jodi Jodi Adams and her dad recently brought this home back to life through an incredible update and remodel. Taking on a project like this together is no small feat, but every corner reflects so much care, detail, and craftsmanship.

To top it all off, the spaces were staged by the wildly talented Claire Brody (Claire Brody). Claire’s signature vintage and antique finds bring so much warmth and character to the space—and the best part? Every single curated piece of furniture and decor inside the house is actually for sale!

What an incredible collaboration between friends, and such an honor to step in with my camera to capture the finished result.

Seeing a family grow through my lens over the years is hands down one of the most rewarding parts of this work.

I still remember getting the call for Emily + Andrew’s very first maternity session. Fast forward to now: watching their vivacious, energetic little girl get ready to step into her big sister era was an absolute bucket-filler moment.

Building a clientele is one thing—building lasting relationships is entirely another. There is something truly special about being trusted to capture a family’s most milestone seasons time and time again.

When you walk into a room where women make up only 9% of C-suite executives, the energy hits different.

Capturing this year’s Globe Street Women’s CRE Conference at the Ga***rd Rockies just outside Denver was an absolute masterclass in presence, resilience, and community. From high-stakes panel discussions on holding your seat at male-dominated tables to the incredible keynote by Amanda Knox on self-advocacy when the odds are stacked against you—every moment was a reminder of what happens when women step fully into their power.
(And yes, power looks like boardroom strategy, but it also looks like wine glass in one hand, axe in the other at the evening reception. )

Twelve years ago, Nicki and Jed shared a chairlift ride at Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Nicki talked Jed’s ear off, gave him an enthusiastic “Okay, bye!”, and hopped off. Jed was completely hooked….Fast forward more than a decade, and they returned to that exact same mountain, high above Lake Tahoe, to say “I do.”

As an adventure wedding photographer, I get to document love in some of the most beautiful places on earth. But this celebration reminded me of an important truth: the most meaningful locations for an adventure wedding aren’t always just about finding the most dramatic or iconic backdrop. They’re about choosing the places that hold your real memories, shape your story, and truly feel like home. For Nicki and Jed, that meant skipping the traditional venues and heading right back to the mountain slopes where their story first began. 🚠❤️

Through my lens, I get to see a lot of beautiful versions of what family looks like. And if there is one thing photographing so many different stories has taught me, it’s that “fatherhood” isn’t just one thing. It is a million different, beautiful roles. 📸

It’s the biological dads who have been there since day one, the stepdads who stepped in with open arms and whole hearts, the granddads passing down generations of wisdom, and the incredible father figures who chose to show up, mentor, and love unconditionally.

Every single one of these roles leaves an undeniable imprint on a child’s life. Seeing the quiet strength, the fierce protection, and the absolute joy shared between all types of dads and their kids is honestly one of the greatest privileges of my career.

Today, we celebrate all of you. To the dads, the stepdads, the granddads, and the father figures who make the world a little brighter and a lot more secure—Happy Father’s Day. Thank you for every moment you capture in their hearts. 🤍
