Today is all about celebrating the moms, stepmoms, mother-in-laws, and every mother figure who pours so much love and support into our days. Whether you’re a quiet anchor or the loudest cheerleader, the impact you have is truly immeasurable.

I wanted to give a very special shout-out to my own mom, Barbara (aka Queen). I absolutely love this capture of her and my dad, Dean—there’s just something about the way this picture captures them both….I just adore them so much

To my mom, and to all of you who nurture, guide, and love unconditionally: thank you. Cheers to y’all on your special day.

There is something truly transformative about stepping into the **Hummingbird House**

As someone who finds constant inspiration in the balance of nature—and who might spend a little too much time nurturing my own “green thumb”—shooting here felt like a breath of fresh air.
It’s that rare, perfect mix: a lush, jungle-like energy paired with impeccably manicured and elevated landscaping. The way the light filters through the canopy creates the kind of shadows and highlights that photographers live for. It was the ultimate backdrop for a garden wedding that felt both grounded and incredibly upscale. Needless to say- I was in heaven!

A “picture-perfect” day is always a collaborative effort, and working alongside fellow creatives is what makes this job so rewarding. A huge shoutout to **Robin Carpenter with The Event By Robin**—I mean, can you even handle this dreamy atmosphere? The vision came together so seamlessly.

With wedding season about to be in full swing, my heart (and my camera bag) is ready. I can’t wait to see the magic the rest of this year holds.

There are some projects that feel like work, and then there are nights like this that remind me exactly why I pick up a camera…

I am so incredibly honored to have been both a sponsor and the event photographer for the “Big Bend: The Wild Frontier of Texas” film screening and Q&A right here in Lockhart. Seeing our community show up for a place that is so near and dear to my heart was nothing short of magic.

Why this matters
As a photographer, I’ve spent countless hours trying to capture the raw, awe-inspiring scale of the Big Bend region while on vacation as well as during photo shoots. But right now, that landscape is facing a massive threat. The Together for Big Bend movement is a bipartisan stand against the proposed border wall construction that would cut through the heart of our National and State Parks.

We aren’t just talking about a view; we’re talking about:
• Preserving Wildlife Habitats: Protecting the migration paths and homes of the species that make this desert thrive.
• Supporting Local Livelihoods: Ensuring the tourism and soul of our border communities remain intact.
• Saving Texas History: Keeping our most iconic, rugged landscape open and wild for the generations that follow us.

The Vibes were on point and I am continually inspired by the way my community SHOWS UP!

📸 Want to help? Check out Together for Big Bend on Facebook to see how you can join the movement. Let’s make sure the only thing we’re building in the desert is a legacy of conservation.

March Venues: A snippet of where I’ve been…

What a month! From the historic heart of Downtown Austin to the quiet, curated corners of Lockhart, I’ve been lucky enough to capture stories in some of my favorite spaces that Central Texas has to offer.

Here’s a quick look at four spots that were included in my March:
1. The Otis Hotel
This isn’t just a hotel; it’s an “elevated living” experience. As Austin’s first Autograph Collection stay, the nod to our city’s musical soul is everywhere. I’m especially obsessed with the vintage vinyl record players in every room and those gorgeous rooftop views near the UT campus.
2. The Driskill Hotel
There is a reason this is a “Crown Jewel.” While the history is unmatched, it’s the incredible lighting that steals the show for me. Whether it’s the way the golden glow hits the grand columns of the Mezzanine or the soft, moody ambiance of the Citadel Ballroom, every frame here feels like a timeless piece of art.
3. Best Little in Lockhart
Just off the square, this spot is a dream. Best Little Wine & Books is exactly what the name suggests—a beautifully curated wine bar and bottle shop specializing in organic producers. It’s the kind of place where you can lose track of time between a great glass of wine and a deep collection of food and beverage books. Such a gem and a must see when you visit!
4. Springdale Station
Ending with one of my absolute faves in ATX! Springdale is a masterclass in clean architecture and natural light. Those floor-to-ceiling windows and the fusion of two historic train stations create a backdrop that is both urban and lush. It’s modern, effortless, and always lets the couple’s design shine through.

Which of these vibes is your favorite? Are you more “Historic Glamour” or “Modern East Side”? Let me know in the comments! 👇

I recently had the absolute pleasure of getting Bruce Robinson behind the lens—a true Austin legend who has been a pillar of the local scene for as long as anyone can remember. When my friend Jen reached out to bring us together for this project, I knew we had to capture something special.

Bruce is kicking off a brand-new chapter with his four-piece jazz band, MOSEY. We’re talking a powerhouse lineup: Bruce on the keys, a phenomenal upright bass, a killer guitarist, and an incredible female drummer visiting all the way from Japan.
To match their sound—a soulful mix of originals and reimagined classics—we leaned heavily into that 1950s jazz aesthetic. Think deep shadows, sharp lines, and that timeless, grainy black-and-white finish that feels just as moody as a late night at the Elephant Room.

If you want to catch the magic in person, they’re playing at The Case Room in Lockhart tomorrow, March 22nd. Trust me, you don’t want to miss the energy this crew brings to the stage.

Thank you for allowing me to capture these images!

As we head into the final hours of 2025, I’m sitting here with my galleries of photos and a very full heart, looking back at a year that honestly feels like a dozen lifetimes wrapped into one.

This year has been a beautiful, wild journey. I’ve found myself in the middle of everything from the quiet, teary-eyed moments of weddings and engagements to the hilarious chaos of pet photography. This past season in particular has been such a whirlwind—balancing a packed calendar of ceremonies, celebrations, and corporate events that kept me constantly inspired.

There were so many “pinch-me” moments this year, but a few really stand out. Trekking through Costa Rica with my camera was a total dream, but just as special was the time I spent closer to home, helping open and catching up with the friends and family who keep me grounded. One of the most fulfilling projects was getting to sit across from a dear friend and help bring a vision to life for the new music album cover. There is something so sacred about capturing the art of someone you have known and supported over the years.

To every single person who stepped in front of my lens this year: Thank you. Whether it was a massive corporate gala or a quiet moment in between the madness, thank you for trusting me to see you and tell your story.

My heart is so full as I close out this chapter, and I truly can’t wait to see what’s waiting for us in 2026. Cheers to another year of capturing life’s magic! ✨📸

Wrapping up the 2025 chapter with a deep sense of gratitude.

Photography is so much more than just pushing a shutter button; it’s about the connections made and the memories preserved. To my current clients: thank you for a career-defining year. To my future clients: I can’t wait to see what we create together in 2026.

Wishing you all a beautiful holiday season, no matter how you celebrate. May your cup be full and your camera roll be even fuller of the people you love.

See you in the New Year!

As a photographer, my passion is finding the beauty and light in every connection, and nothing speaks to my soul quite like pet photography. These furry, scaled, and feathered members of our family give us so much unconditional love, and my mission is to freeze those moments in time.
It is an incredible privilege to work with all pets, but my heart truly goes out to the owners who are scheduling that one last photography session. Losing a beloved companion is one of the hardest goodbyes we face, and I strongly believe that having beautiful, tangible images to hold onto is a must. These portraits become a priceless treasure, a lasting legacy of the love you shared.
It’s about more than just a picture; it’s about capturing their unique personality, the sparkle in their eye, and the deep bond they share with you.

✨ Let’s Create Your Pet’s Timeless Portrait! ✨

Whether it’s at your favorite outdoor spot or in the comfort and familiarity of your own home, I offer custom pet portraits tailored to your needs. If you know someone—or if you are that someone—who wants to capture the essence of their best friend, let’s talk.

Well, friends, the festive season might be winding down, but my photographer’s eye is still in work mode because I see them everywhere... Engagement Rings! The air is absolutely buzzing with new “Yes’s,” and let me tell you, capturing those first moments of pure, glittery joy is one of my favorite parts of engagement sessions! Not to mention the amazing shoots we get during the wedding day for ring details!

Every year, I get so excited to see the trends that tell the story of a whole new wave of couples. And for the 2026 weddings? The forecast is looking bold, colorful, and wonderfully unique!
Based on what I’m seeing, here are my top predictions for the ring trends that will dominate those 2026 ‘I Do’s’:

• Colorful Center Stones: I’m predicting a major moment for vibrant gemstones. Think deep blue sapphires, lush emeralds, or warm champagne/cognac diamonds. Couples are choosing stones that truly reflect their personality and style.

• The Bezel Setting Comeback: This is a huge one! The bezel setting—where metal fully encircles the stone—is sleek, modern, and provides amazing protection. It gives the ring a lovely, sculptural, and secure feel.

• Sculptural & Bold Gold: The delicate bands of the past are making way for chunky, bolder bands and architectural settings. We’re talking statement yellow gold—sometimes even mixed metals—that turns the ring into wearable art.

The overall vibe? Individuality and Meaning over Mass-Production. It’s about a ring that feels soulful, customized, and totally unique to the couple’s love story. And honestly? I can’t wait to shoot some amazing rings this upcoming year!

What are your ring predictions? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
