I can’t believe it’s been 5 months of loving this sweet little girl. I love her more than words can say. Even when she’s pulling my hair out of my or decided she isn’t a fan of sleeping through the night anymore… 🫠🥰. She is sweet, cuddly, playful, refuses to be cradled like a baby, and loooves to stand. I love her so and know each new stage is going to be so sweet in its own way.

Happy 8 weeks, sweet Hazel.

Can’t believe she’s been in our lives for 2 months. It feels like we just met yet, we’ve known each other forever.

Every day she gets a little bigger, which kind of breaks my heart, and a little sweeter. She has changed so much in the weeks that we’ve known her but somehow I just love her more and more and more. It’s amazing to see her little personality start to come through and I cannot wait to get to know her more.

April recap!

I worked with some amazing, beautiful people and *love* all the images we created together. Seriously. I can’t handle it ✨

Baby girl grew a LOT and I’m starting May off feeling like I’m carrying a watermelon on my stomach 😅 We also got the cutest stroller and bassinet that I cannot wait to use. I may or may not occasionally roll it around the apartment out of pure excitement 🙃

My dad came for a quick visit and we watched some softball, ate good food, saw the bats, and shared our colds with one another.

And I got to celebrate Lee as he turned 35 this year. It’s been an eventful 2023 so far and I know the best of the year is yet to come 🤰🏻🥰

Happiest of birthdays to my favorite face. I honestly don’t have the words to express my love and gratitude for him but it’s immense. And I cannot wait to see him become a dad this summer 🥰 He is kind, intelligent, hardworking, silly, selfless, always desiring to better himself, dedicated, loves stealing my socks, provides me restaurant quality meals, just to name a few, and I’m blessed to call him mine. I love him with all I am and a little bit extra.

4 years ago this week, I went to Hong Kong for the first time and fell in love with this city. It was the most amazing combination of… everything really lol. It was so visually stunning, I was honestly overwhelmed by what to even photograph. Going back in the fall of the same year, I was able to take my time exploring the city and still barely scratched the surface of all that this place has to offer.

There’s also these amazing ladies. Getting to meet them, photograph them, and then make a book of those photographs to take back to them is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. They were so hospitable, generous, kind, and hilarious. I can’t wait until I get to reunite with them and hear about what God has been doing in their lives. And share some KFC 😂

I believe family photos are so so vital. Obviously I’m a bit biased 😎 But your kids are growing and life is changing. Documenting who each of you are right now helps you remember those little things that you’ll forget over time: how much you loved your spouse at this moment, how into soccer your son was, how your daughter started to define herself, that your baby started walking right after this, how fantastic you really looked in that dress (😉), the list goes on.

Even if it’s just with your phone, make sure you’re taking photos of the people you love. And moms, I’m talking to you now, make a point to get in some of those photos! You’ll thank me a few years from now 😘
