Yesterday held about 8,001 emotions at about 8,001 different times, and you were on my mind throughout them all. You’re a part of every new memory, every happy and hard moment. I think that’s what this anniversary has taught me, yes grief is still it’s whole thing that’ll hit me randomly on a Tuesday but ultimately I just miss you. Hearing your laugh, holding your hand, listening to how you say, “hi honey,” wondering what band you could hear play at Edgefield from your patio, knowing you were paying attention to every part of our life in Texas, even from afar. Obviously I miss sharing the bigs with you, but there’s something about the mundane that’s hitting different. These posts are more of a capsule for myself than anything so this year I want to remember, “here at last, dear friends, on the shores of the Sea comes the end of our fellowship in Middle-earth. Go in peace! I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are evil.” I love you more than you know.

31. I think this is when I’m supposed to feel like an adult, but maybe one day? Year 30 was a year of learning confidence - confidence in myself, in my capabilities, in my desires and dreams. It’s still something that changes every single day in every single way but I’ll forever be here for it. Added new laugh lines to my face, cried plenty of tears, watched friends become wives and mothers, ate a lot of homemade whipped cream, and did most of it with a tequila soda in hand… the way it’s supposed to be. Here’s to you, 31. Whatchu got?
