The Utah badlands doesn't disappoint. I went with a bunch of drone nerds stayed in Hanksville. Every sunrise and sunset for 5 days we went on expeditions. The landscape feels less like Earth and more like another planet. Raw, brutal, colorful, and completely unapologetic.

No crowds. No polished edges. Just millions of years of geology showing off.

What happens when you take hydrogen technology to 400+ mph?

You make history at Bonneville.

We were honored to be the media team on the ground capturing this extraordinary moment for Jo Bamford and the Bamford family as JCB Hydromax shattered the hydrogen land-speed record with an average speed of 406.320 mph.

For Jo Bamford, this was about much more than a record.

As one of the leading voices in the global hydrogen economy, Jo has spent years championing hydrogen as a practical path toward decarbonizing some of the world’s hardest-to-abate industries.

At Bonneville, that vision came to life at extraordinary speed.

Ryze Power fueled the journey with the hydrogen that powered JCB Hydromax, bringing the fuel and hydrogen expertise behind the record-setting run.

At the heart of the car were twin JCB hydrogen combustion engines producing 1,600 bhp, demonstrating the incredible power hydrogen combustion can deliver while producing zero CO₂ at the tailpipe. The exhaust? Water.

Behind the wheel was Wing Commander Andy Green OBE, who piloted JCB Dieselmax to its 350.092 mph diesel land-speed record at Bonneville 20 years earlier.

It's a construction romance story of how the underpass for the railroad got built and we are in the early days.

The timelapse cameras are technical. You can built a custom rig with solar and figure out how to save to the cloud so the investors are happy and can see what's going on or you can go with Tikee camera that is solar, uploads to the cloud and you can monitor it. To install these cameras it takes 50+ emails, insurance policies, dig permits, forklift, and some perseverance to coordinate.
