About Lauren Corbin:

I’m a portraiture photographer, I take pictures of people. My friends would describe me as animated, congenial, approachable, but you can decide that for yourself when we meet. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. I focus on non-models and place regular people in exaggerated situations that highlight an aspect of who they are. I look for a

sense of defiance and fortitude in my work. I was transparent long before it was hip to be so, and I believe deeply in teamwork, community, and collaboration. I BELIEVE
-In the healing power of ice cream and chocolate.
-In singing at the top of your voice if that's what makes you happy.
-In that if it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you.
-In board game nights with friends or family.

The last time I posted on here was January 25.

This wedding was from March 14.

Since then I’ve photographed several incredible sessions, met amazing people, made beautiful images, and yet… I’ve barely shared any of it.

Truthfully, I think I’ve been in a season of changing directions.

The world has felt heavy. Life has looked different than I expected. My priorities have shifted, and somewhere along the way, social media started feeling less important than simply living my life and being present for the people in it.

But with that has also come a surprising amount of guilt.

I know some of my couples and clients get excited to see themselves featured here. I know there are people who follow my work because they enjoy it. And if I’m being completely honest, I’ve created images I’m genuinely proud of that have just been sitting on my hard drive because I haven’t had the mental bandwidth to write captions, curate a feed, or keep up with the pressure of posting consistently.

So this is me letting go of the idea that every post has to be perfectly timed or perfectly curated.

These two are far too beautiful to stay hidden any longer. 🥹

Zoelle and Josh, thank you for trusting me to document such an important day in your lives. Looking back through these photos reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It’s never really been about algorithms or engagement. It’s about preserving moments that people will cherish for decades.

I don’t know exactly what this page is going to look like moving forward. I just know I want it to feel more like me. Less polished. More honest. More stories. More moments that deserve to be remembered, even if they’re shared months later.

If you’ve stuck around while I’ve been quiet, thank you. It means more than you know.

Here’s to getting back to sharing the work I love, one post at a time. 🤍📷

Hot yoga, candlelight slow flow, a good stretch before bed, and sound bowls that melt you into the mat ✨
This 30 days of yoga challenge with Round Rock has been such a gift to my body and nervous system.
If anyone wants to join me for Mariah’s candlelight slow flow at 8:30 PM usually at the Round Rock or Cedar Park location, let me know. She offers sound bowl therapy at the end, and it’s truly next-level relaxing. 🧘‍♀️
