Sept 25th. 🎉 Happy 11th Anniversary to my photo biz 📸 Actually, today is a day of three different anniversaries (not all joyous) Having been laid off the day before, eleven years ago I woke up determined to go full time as a photographer. Why not, right? I had the time now, a nice severance package, and if I had to go back into a cubicle at least I could say I tried. I had all the inspiration and drive in the world when I woke up that morning. And then… I looked at my phone only to find out one of my good friends had died. Every ounce of excitement I had quickly turned to heavy grief. I failed in trying to say goodbye and still, it hurts.
Eventually, I rolled out of bed and got this dream going again. An enormous amount of gratitude for every client I’ve worked with - you have made the last decade plus an incredible adventure and I look forward to much more! RIP Mateo (fave photo last slide) 💛 oh- the third anniversary? My grandparents wedding but they’ll get their own post.
