Back on my morning walks, I need to regroup and put health back in my routine...again. No sweaty selfies. No before and after pics. What you will get from my walks is nice nature pics.
The fall has held many personal and professional changes. As the leaves change, I change, but some things must stay the same. Health has to be a mainstay.
This year, I learned that it’s time to bring my education volunteer work together with my photography work. I want to teach photography to kids in a neurodiverse-friendly way that presents photography as a visual language. Not all languages are verbal and I want to tell teach this visual language. My visual language.
So this is my photo showing the changing colors of my health. The mixed emotions about working in time to workout in a new busy schedule. My photo showing all the changes it takes to learn a new routine. To teach photography, I have to get certified. To get certified, I have to be in a classroom and learn things like motivational charts and behavior management. I have to relearn how to work on someone else’s schedule as I’ve owned my own time for more than a decade now. Since September, I’ve been working as a reading tutor in a service program. It’s so different than anything I’ve ever done. Fall used to mean wedding weekends, session Sundays, scouting locations and long nights editing. This year has me yearning for career change. I will always love the bond of family sessions, but I’m pretty sure the 12 hr day wedding is in my past. I have the most wonderful memories of watch couples vow to become family. Thank you, and I will take all I learned about communicating love to teaching the next generation of photographers how to use their visual voice. 📸
