To everyone in the group. Tomorrow I'll be hanging at the studio from Sunday June 16th Noon to 1:30pm. If you want to swing by and make an offer on any equipment, props, backdrops, stands, etc...

I'd rather sell it to someone who'll use it then stick it in storage. I have all my own personal gear so I'll let it go at a good price.

We will officially be closing the current studio location this month. After 8 years of providing the most affordable studio space in Austin it's time that we pack up and move on. We have no plans to open another location soon but maybe in the future that will be an option.

I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey, it's been great to get to know so many of you in the community. I'm most proud of the fact that we saw so many talented and creative people grow in their passion. Many coming to us because of our price wanting to practice using studio lighting or staging a scene to eventually getting published in magazines and having large exhibits of their work. We're honored to have been a small part of that growth that put more creativity and beauty out into the world.

If anyone has a favorite pic from a session at the studio please share it here, we'd love to put together a portfolio of work as an archive for memories.

A fun recent shoot with Lifebypixels behind the camera and our own regular photographer stepping in to model, Mr. Patrick Bennett. Switching up two sets in the studio and using a mix of our strip box modifiers and a large overhead dome with reflector beneath. Based on Texas guidelines we will be re-opening May 1st next week and following the structure of 25% occupancy for the first phase.

Because we are almost never at occupancy in a shoot we should be back to normal. We are however going to stagger shoots meaning there will be no back to back sessions to limit crossover traffic in an effort to keep people safe.

Our owner Mark Heaps contribution to The Heart Project this year, his second year helping them out. They do portrait sessions with children living in hospital over the holidays who won't be home for Christmas. Taking their green screen photos with Santa Claus and turning them into full blown story scenes to share with them and their families. The family will receive a large framed print of the final piece.
