Pushed outside my comfort zone on this one.

Hard light. Strong shadows. Less polish, more edge. really brought the attitude during session.

Not everything has to fit your style—
sometimes it just has to stretch it.

Precision Camera University

Exploring harder light and warmer tones with .kamprath during ’s session.

Not my usual approach—
but there’s something here I want to keep developing.

Precision Camera University

Another set from ’s session—this time with .archiv3 .

Same location. Same light.
Different energy.

This is what I love about portrait work—
it’s never just the setup.
It’s the presence someone brings into it.

A study in presence, posing and lighting.

Shot during Precision Camera University with
in ’s session.

Different light. Different pace. Same goal—
create something that feels intentional, not accidental.

This is why I keep showing up to learn.

Been spending some time behind the scenes… dialing things in.

Playing with light, refining the look, pushing closer to the style I’ve had in my head for a while now. This is part of that process.

A few years back, I started the L-STEAM podcast to highlight Latinos in STEM. That mission never left—it just needed a new form.

Now it’s evolving into something more visual.

There’s something special about seeing this moment come full circle.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing Dance Foundry dancers for the past 4 years… and every season, I get a front-row seat to their growth—on stage and beyond.

This year’s seniors carry that journey with them. The discipline, the artistry, the quiet confidence that only time can build.

Even if it’s just once a year, it’s an honor to witness it.

Congratulations, seniors 🤍 Your story is just getting started.

Presence isn’t loud.
It’s controlled. Intentional. Earned.

Actor Adam Wesley — starring in Where the Shadows Wait — brought that quiet intensity into every frame.

This final set from the Rory Lewis workshop was about stripping it back. No theatrics. No excess. Just character.

Three expressions.
One story.

Workshops like this remind me that portraiture isn’t about posing — it’s about presence.

A portrait can show presence.

A story reveals power.

Subtle shifts change everything —
a hand on a shoulder,
an eye line,
who sits and who stands.

Identity isn’t built alone.
It’s shaped by influence, tension, loyalty, rivalry.

This series was created during a workshop with Rory Lewis , where the focus moved beyond lighting and into narrative structure.

Huge credit to and for fully committing to the characters — their presence is what makes the tension believable.

This is the direction I’m leaning into more: portraits that feel like chapters, not snapshots.
