Italy: Venice, Florence, Rome (Pt 1)

This country is a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the stomach. Each region is so distinctive both visually and culturally, and the historical architecture is simply breathtaking.

Civilization was mastered in Rome, luxury and style was refined in Venice, and the beating heart of the Renaissance was brought to life in Tuscany. Needless to say, two weeks wasn’t nearly enough time to admire these three Italian cities.

Eeyore’s Birthday 4.26.25

Turns out that despite the recent tech takeover, the hippie spirit of Austin does, in fact, still exist: unwashed, slightly stoned, and very, very charming.

I missed the official walk, but I did make it to the festivities in time to grab some candids in digital and film. This is my digital roll — I’m interested in seeing how the film roll compares.

Peace and Love, y’all ✌️💕

Big thanks to for featuring me and my funky little story in their magazine this month.

I was initially delighted and confused when they approached me with the interview. Why me? But within minutes I proceeded to overshare my career journey from 2016 - now, paragraph after paragraph. If you have a few minutes to spare, give it a read.

At best, I hope it encourages other creatives to march forward. At worst, I hope my peers find it amusing.

The Muse. Medusa’s third and final evolution.

Mythology’s failure is rectified, and our hero finds redemption in the divine feminine. She still bears her serpents, but now they obey her. Fear, hatred, and blood-rage transform into higher awareness and self-mastery as she stares, unblinking, into the eyes of her contemporaries.

I wonder: would this version of Medusa still turn men to stone?

The Monster emerges.

After Poseidon r@pes Medusa in Athena’s temple, the goddess is furious. But instead of exacting her revenge on the god that entered her holy dominion, Athena punishes the mortal young maiden. Medusa is suddenly and violently transformed into her monstrous Gorgon form, her maidenhood (and the purity it bore) burned away to reveal mutilated, serpentine flesh.

Athena sought to weaken Medusa by stripping her of her traditional beauty, the greatest assault being on her gorgeous hair. In this phase of her tragedy Medusa is silenced and shamed — but this is not her final evolution.

Stay tuned.

Madrid is lousy with gorgeous, sun-kissed architecture. By the end of my one week trip, most of my SD card was filled with various angles of its buildings, whether it was the spires of grand palaces or the balconies of simple apartment complexes, or the many murals and graffiti that colored local alleyways. History, culture, and attitude spill out of every street in Madrid.

The urban noise was broken up very briefly with a half day hike up to Sierra de Guadarrama, whose rocks and flora- ironically -look similar to Texas roughage.

Black & White post coming soon, because I want to prove how gorgeous this city is even without its signature orange glow.

Sometimes I need to escape myself, escape the pressure of my own perfectionism. It is, in every way, creative paralysis.

Thinking back, I’ve allowed too many opportunities to pass me by because of my perfectionist tendencies. I still cripple myself with it on a weekly basis. It’s partially why I don’t take on more projects, partially why I don’t post on social media very often. It’s like a disease of the mind.

So when I was told about and their low key, no expectations photo walk at Mueller Park, I used it as practice to get the hell out of my own head. I gotta start the heal myself, find the antidote. Just shut up and shoot.

Here are some of my favorites from that morning. Nothing special, but that’s the point. 🖤

Lauren the Irish Bride, preparation and details only. I was honored to be given the role of maid of honor in this gorgeous small ceremony in Killarney, and I accepted my role with relish.

But it turns out you can’t take the photographer out of the girl, so I managed to capture these few quiet moments during HMUA prep.

The secret’s out. I’ve been hiding this from my public profile, booking silently and choosing not to share the content. Maybe I thought it would clash with my “brand”, maybe I thought it would confuse clients. But it’s a new year, and a new era to take pride in my work.

I’m a food & restaurant photographer.

I’ve been shooting content for local restaurants for nearly 4 years now, and going strong. I have hundreds of restaurants under my belt, and hundreds of photos to share. So many, in fact, that I created a NEW page solely dedicated to my food & restaurant photos.

The truth is, I love photographing food — and if you’d like to see a steady stream of mouthwatering content, then follow my new page .

And if you’re a restaurant in need of a major content boost, shoot me a DM or contact me via my website.

Far from the urban sprawl of Seattle, across the Puget Sound and a solid 2-3 hour drive west across the Olympic Peninsula, you’ll find a wonderland of moss and mist. October was the perfect month to walk the trails of Olympic National Park and glimpse bursts of orange and yellow amongst the dense greenery. It was also the season of eternal, unpredictable rain.

The first thing that caught my eye was the velvety array of textures and organic shapes.

These photos are all from my first of many hikes in ONP. The shoulder season nearly guaranteed my solitude on these trails, which in turn commanded focus and reflection.

A few sneak peeks of an absolutely beautiful day. Congratulations to Marissa & Fred Martinez ♥️
