The weather during N+K’s session was UNREALLLL

What started off as an overcast evening, turned into a downpour on the way to our second location (we were literally chasing the light, through storm clouds). After arriving at our second location, the perfect golden light started shining through… along with extreme winds LOL, and ended with a glorious double rainbow!!

A couple years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting S+C and capturing their anniversary photos. So when they reached out for updated couples photos while they were back in town, I was sooo excited!

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to reconnect with past clients and catch up on life. Just know that when your session is over, you’ve got a forever friend in me. 🫶🏼

Such a beautiful proposal at Sekrit Theater for Christian & Caroline 🤍

Christian truly thought of it all: He booked this beautiful private venue, had friends arrive early to scatter petals and flowers, and even had them bring table stands from their home to create the cutest little display.

Family traveled from all over to celebrate this love story, and Texas decided to give them the FULL experience. Even a quick hailstorm couldn’t slow this party down. From sunshine to rain and everything in between, this wedding reception at Casa Blanca was truly unforgettable. Such a beautiful celebration for a beautiful couple! 🤍

There are so many words thrown into the photography world: Candid, posed, guided, prompted, documentary, editorial. From the outside looking in, it can be hard to tell what you’re actually drawn to. A lot of the times, I’m shown inspo boards from couples interested in one thing, but the photos might say another. Let’s break it down! 💭

Candid: Unscripted, in-the-moment images captured without direction. These are the in-between moments! Real reactions, real emotion, nothing interrupted.

Documentary: A storytelling approach to the entire day. It’s about capturing events as they happen naturally. Candid moments live within documentary photography, but documentary is the bigger picture, your full story, start to finish!

Guided (or prompted): Gentle direction that encourages movement or interaction, so instead of stiff posing, you’re doing something that creates a natural reaction.

Posed: Intentionally placing you in a specific position or composition. This can be simple and natural or more styled, but it’s clearly directed/staged.

Editorial: A more stylized, intentional approach inspired by magazines. It often involves direction, attention to composition, and a bit of drama, while still aiming to feel elevated rather than stiff.

My style blends a little bit of everything! I’ll gently guide you so you always feel confident and at ease, while also giving you the space to be fully present, and capture the raw emotion throughout your day 🫶🏼
