A little Irish for your Monday night. When our way to Cliffs of Moher, we took an impromptu detour to Clonmacnoise, a now-ruined monastery. It had been founded in 544 and was a place of religion, trade, learning, craftsmanship and art. A cathedral, towers, high crosses, churches and graveslabs can be found all across the property.

It’s eerie beauty is breathtaking, and definitely worth the stop.
