How I spend my extra time. 3 weeks since I bought these old the windows & gave them some love. Well over 100 hours into start to finish, kicked my butt. There are times I sat & stared at it because I didn’t know what to do next or what I wanted but whatever felt right I just let the creativity flow. Because that’s what I do 😅
In life when you want something sometimes you just have to take charge & DIY projects are so good for the soul. Just figuring it out & learning as you go. Nothing I do is perfect, but I put love into what I do & that is enough for me. I’m not a professional carpenter, but I have a love for old things & old windows & doors I kinda have an obsession with them, not sure why! But if only they could speak what have they seen. I think about the hands that built them, the homes they were in & giving them another life sitting in an old barn & dusting them off. I find woodworking therapeutic honestly. Now I know why in high school I actually enjoyed woods class & paid attention. 😅
I wanted to do something unique & different for spring sessions, fall & winter I can use this all year long just add different decor.
I couldn’t be happier with how this mini greenhouse house turned out. Wayyy larger than what I had originally planned lol.
Before anyone says anything about not adding glass back in. I was worried about the old glass & having little ones in it & heavens forbid one breaks, that old glass is shards not like today’s. So playing on the safe side & maybe eventually I’ll add them In. Honestly I love the look of it & truthfully couldn’t be happier…
I cannot wait to capture special moments with these old windows & being able to share this with families & children, babies & yes even the fur babies. 🥰
This will be something so unique I can bring to portraits.
For reference I am 5’4” I can stand up in the middle of this. I had no clue it would be this big.
Spring sessions will be coming shortly with this beautiful greenhouse. I hope it brings others happiness like it does me 🥰
