STEAK + SMASH 🥩🎂

This little guy celebrated turning ONE with a “Steak and Smash!” We started with family photos on my clean, modern backdrop, then photographed him enjoying a beautiful T-bone steak on one set before moving to a completely different setup for his cake smash!

Now I’m obsessed with the idea of incorporating each baby’s favorite food into future sessions. Imagine tacos, spaghetti, Chick-fil-A, pancakes—or whatever your little one absolutely loves—followed by their cake smash on a second set!

It would be such a fun and personal way to capture exactly who they are at this stage.

✨ From tiny newborn snuggles to a big ONE-year celebration... watching little ones grow is one of the greatest parts of my job. 🥹💕

It feels like just yesterday Clara was curled up peacefully in my studio, so tiny and perfect. Fast forward one year, and she's standing tall, full of personality, and ready to celebrate her very first birthday! 🎉

These side-by-side moments are exactly why I love what I do. Getting to document a family's journey from those sleepy newborn days through all the milestones that follow is such an incredible honor.

This gorgeous couple made the drive all the way from San Jose for their maternity session, and I don't think I'll ever stop feeling honored when families travel hours to work with me.

It's funny because sometimes I'll hear that a 30-minute drive feels too far, while other families happily drive 2, 3, even 4 hours. Every single time someone chooses to make that trip, it reminds me just how much these memories mean to them—and how much trust they're placing in me to capture such an important chapter of their lives.

The best part? She's already planning to come back with her sweet baby for newborn portraits. ❤️
