✨ Brielle Ann’s Birth Story ✨
“On Wednesday night, January 21st, 2026, we walked into the hospital at 10:00 PM, full of anticipation and quiet excitement, ready to meet the little girl we had been dreaming about for months. I was barely ½ cm dilated, and we laughed at how calm and gentle the beginning felt.
The baby monitor was wireless—so modern and neat—and when the nurse asked if I knew I was already having contractions, I told her I thought they were just Braxton Hicks. She smiled and said, “Nope… you’ve been having real ones.” That’s when it all started to feel real.
At 11:15 PM, I took my first half dose of Cytotec, and by 3:10 AM on January 22nd, I took the second. Then, at 5:15 AM, my water broke all on its own—and everything shifted. The contractions grew stronger, deeper, and more purposeful. My body took over, and I never needed Pitocin to jump start her delivery into the world.
At 8:50 AM, my epidural went in, and suddenly, peace. I slept. I let my body prepare. By 2:30 PM, I was 9 cm, fully effaced, and at zero station. Soon after, I reached 10 cm, and it was time. At 5:00 PM, I started pushing—and after about 30 minutes, our world changed forever.
With the most incredible teamwork, Daddy helped deliver our baby girl, lifting her gently onto my chest as Dr. Phan unwrapped her nuchal cord. Time stood still in that moment. Her first breath, her warmth against my skin, and the overwhelming rush of love filled the room.
At 5:26 PM, Brielle Ann was born. 🤍
We waited, watching her cord pulse with life for about 4½ minutes before it was finally cut—just soaking in every second of her arrival.
She came into the world strong and perfect:
✨ 8 lbs 12 oz
✨ 20.5 inches long
✨ 13¾ inch head & chest
The best part? No tearing. No stitches. Just pure joy. I felt amazing, grateful, and completely in awe of this tiny miracle we now get to love forever.
Welcome to the world, Brielle Ann. You are already so deeply loved. 🤍✨”
