Nature 1 Photographer 0 😂 I looked out and saw a Great Blue Heron casually walking across my lawn, all fluffed up. I thought well that's a little strange..... so of course I grabbed my camera. By the time I stood up I realized there were two herons. One flew up onto a rock and immediately went into this full-on mating stance...... and the other followed right behind like it had somewhere very important to be. 😳 I had just enough time to take ONE shot and then nature completely took over. Missed the rest of course I did. 📸🤣

One of the most elegant birds to visit Fern Lake the Cedar Waxwings. Their silky feathers, black mask, and bright yellow tail tip make them one of my favorite species to photograph. I don't get many chances to photograph these birds.
