I think we may have moved too slowly… with holidays … family … doctors …. money!!! We’ve been dragging our feet getting our voyage on the way…. With everything all needing attention we decided to winterize the boat in the water…🙃 She managed a couple nights at 17 degrees but we made the descision to set her up for a little safety pause!🤪

Us loading the boat and walking down docks and on deck is nearly impossible with the ice, it was hilariously slippery to say the least😝 … so on the side of choosing life we have to pause this voyage momentarily..😂

BUTT stay tuned for winter shenanigans and we’ll be moving forward soon when the weather warms up!!

The deepest lock in the Erie Canal is Lock 17, lifting 40 ft!! We were heading eastbound so we lowered 40ft, boy was that a far drop! The gate even opened upward to let us out instead of having the traditional v doors which opens outward or inward.

We completed 37 locks in 2 weeks!! The Black Rock lock connecting Lake Erie to the Niagra River, 35 locks in the Erie Canal over 351 miles across the state of New York, and finally the last lock in the Hudson River bringing us down to sea level!

DUX never disappoints!! And the weather always keeps things interesting!! 🏁

The last Sunday of September, October, and November DUX motorcycle club in Michigan holds a backyard style race with a rubber band starting line and a track within the woods!! With some tasty concessions and a good crowd the races are a must for our family!! 🤭

Braelyn did absolutely amazing!! This girl has raced in damn near every condition and doesn’t stop!! We are so proud of her growth and accomplishments throughout the years, and on this very track honestly!! She placed 2nd and 4th putting her into the main and winning 5th overall! #419

Hell of a race day with the reduced and mixed classes due to the last minute snow!!!❄️

HUGE shoutout to the coffee shop that just opened up in the lot that we plow! The gentleman was so friendly and attentive as I walked in, even offered us the cappuccinos on the house!❤️
