I found this canvas in my building’s trash room and just could not let it go to the landfill! 👩🏻🎨♻️
Honestly, I'm not even sure it would've made it there, so just to be safe, I took this precious resource home 🤭
But I definitely wanted to show you what the painting looked like before I touched it.
Those rich blues are so intense, and the contrast with these bright red tulips 🌷 tells a beautiful story.
To me, the flowers in this dark blue night symbolize sadness and beauty. So somewhat like nostalgia. A painful feeling but with longing and even maybe pride for the growth and healing associated with a beautiful yet painful memory.
Sound familiar? 🫣
Blooming flowers can be a symbol for letting go and investing in the growth of something new 🌷
To me, this piece about grievance but seeing the beauty and the pain that comes with growth.
Now, I don't know who painted this so I can for sure say that was their intention, but that is why this painting touch me.
In the next post I’ll dive deeper into what my painting on top means to me.
Hoping you liked this transformation and that the original painting also touched your heart the way it did mine 💙🌷
Happy first day of March!
