Kareem Rasheed Balson
Master Barber & Certified Spin Instructor
My passion for barbering started from cutting and putting designs in my little brother’s hair in our home. As time went on he started bringing me customers and then I realized, I could be on to something. In 2007, I signed myself up for barbering school and began my career. I knew I had to be around other people in my field to sharpen my craft, so in 2009 I started working in a shop. It was the best decision I made and it pushed me into wanting my own business. I wanted to be apart of the barbering business and help other people with their craft. I worked hard at learning the business, so in 2015 Royalty Barber Shop was open. Over the next couple of years, I really started working on my other life goals with working out, which led me into my new love of cycling. We all know that life hit us all in 2020 with a shut down due to Covid and of course my business was affected. I used this down time and launched my brand Spiritual Motivation. I used my love for spin and my brand to help people in my community through fitness with becoming their best self. Through spin, I’ve touched so many lives through their fitness journey. My goals are to not only continue to help shape my community, but to touch the world through cycling and spiritual motivation!
