ROLL CALL! MAKE SOME MORE NOISE!!🗣️💙

My camera didn’t have to look very hard for Teach For America Metro Atlanta alumni at Teach For America’s 35th Anniversary Summit because ATL REPRESENTED VERY WELL! 📸🙌🏾

See any familiar faces?! Tag them and give them a shoutout below! 👇🏾💙

It’s still Candor & Co Consulting’s 6-year anniversary! 🎉
Congratulations to Robyn Tedder on six years of building her business and doing impactful work, and a huge thank-you to Gabrielle Newton for thinking of me for this celebration and brand shoot.

This photo session was a reminder that the Teach For America Metro Atlanta is exactly who they say they are and believe in making sure alumni thrive in communityI met Gabby years ago at KIPP Schools while I was teaching with TFA! Since becoming an alum, she’s connected me with other alumni, including Robyn, who have trusted me behind the lens again and again.

I’ll always be grateful for those connections. ❤️

Just know it’s not by editing your photos… 😂 because what did Melanie say? “Gimme 10…..gimme 10!”😂

After a long weekend of shooting, I need to decompress for REAL. Clean the house, make some popcorn, turn the music up, and apparently audition for the Jabbawockeez! 😂

I give myself permission to BE for at least 24 hours without having to think about anything related to my camera, but immediately, after I am so back like I never left for editing and more shoots but again….gimme 10. 😂

And if you made it through this whole video I salute you, because Jay please 😂

Make some NOISE!!!!!!! And I’m not trying to be biased, but Teach For America Metro Atlanta is the BEST region in Teach For America! 😂🍑

I mean, LOOK AT US! The whole tribe is a vibe, and we represent like no other! 🥹✨ 35th Anniversary in Vegas was definitely one for the books! 🎉

MY OPPORTUNITES ARE MINE!!!

From the classroom to the camera, Teach For America Metro Atlanta not only supported me when I was a founding 6th grade writing teacher at KIPP Atlanta Schools, they also continue to invest in the work I do now as alum! They’ve been my retainer client for 2 years now and I’m so blessed!

Thank you to the best region to do it, ATLANTA for trusting Jay Byers to capture all of the photos, as well as handle all of the video production for interviews, b-roll and so much more this past weekend in Vegas for Teach For America’s 35th anniversary!

I’m so full and am beyond grateful!

Homecoming, but make it corporate. 🏠✨

I had the pleasure of capturing one of my favorite retainer corporate comapnies, Slalom Atlanta as they celebrated 20 years in Atlanta with a special homecoming bringing together those who helped build the Atlanta office and those shaping its future.

From familiar faces to new connections, the room was full of stories, laughter, memories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. 🤎

Grateful to have been behind the lens capturing it all. They’ve been booked me for events and even team headshots for the last 3 years! They’re more than my client, they’re family! Thank you, slalom and happy 20 years in ATL!

People always ask me, “What do you do when you’re not taking photos?” 😂

Just know… it still has EVERYTHING to do with photos! I’m editing, responding to emails, sending off galleries, planning shoots, and so much more. 📸

The work never stops, and that’s exactly why I have to keep dancing! 😂💃🏾
