A quick getaway is always good for the soul.
Go explore Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in Kentucky.
-I found a fun tidbit about this one in my Google searches so I thought I’d share it with you:
Before the Gatliff Bridge was built in 1954, crossing the Cumberland River to access the falls and the Inns was no easy task. The methods used was often determined by the water level. Before automobile travel, wagons and wooden boats were used to cross. At high water a basket traveling along a cable between two wooden towers was used. A ferry traveled across the river from the 1920's until the bridge could be built.
-Pretty cool!
