Lisa R. Reisman Photographs Everything Photos of people, places, concerts for fine art, publicity, portfolios and just for fun. I tend to keep to a more traditional look to my pictures.

I have hung on to the full-frame philosophy (for 90% of what I shoot) and I like faking the 'filed out film carrier' look, too. High contrast, sharp black and white portraits and soft, grays and colors for scenery are themes I like to use, although every shot has its own personality and I try to preserve that in the process. I love creating the fine art images as much as the promotional and 'snaps

hot' portraits. There really isn't anything I don't like about making pictures.

We are deeply saddened by the news of David Hockney's passing. Our thoughts are with his friends, family, and loved ones.

Although Hockney was best known for his work in painting, drawing, and even stage design, he demonstrated remarkable freedom by moving beyond these media, including notable explorations with photography in the 1980s.

This portrait in the High's collection of the artist’s mother demonstrates Hockney’s use of a simple handheld camera and conventional “drug store processing”—accessible materials that help demystify the potentially complex craft of photography and prove that photographic expression and meaning can be achieved with the simplest tools available to everyone.
