Delilah showed up to the North Georgia State Fair ready for family photos like the seasoned professional she is.

Harrison showed up with different plans. 😂

Turns out cotton candy was the key to contract negotiations.

We had rides, games, a couple of newly won fish, plenty of fair food and somehow managed to finish the whole thing with a funnel cake powdered-sugar fight.

THIS is my kind of family session.

Family photos don't always have to mean standing in a field smiling at me. Sometimes you just need to give the kids something fun to do and let me follow along.

This was supposed to be a maternity session.

Baby Noelle said nope. 😂

She arrived early, so instead I got to meet Latima, Andrew, big brother Nolan and their tiny new addition for an at-home newborn session.

Nolan was SO proud and ready for every photo, Noelle peacefully slept through basically everything, and I also discovered that Andrew has some serious plant-dad skills. Their house was full of gorgeous greenery and even fresh propagations.

Not the session we'd originally planned, but I'd say Noelle was a pretty great reason to change plans. ❤️

This fam has been putting up with me since 2019, and apparently Sebastian has decided it's time for him to start directing our sessions. 😂

Honestly, I'm not opposed to the extra help.

I first photographed Gaby, Dan and Sebastian at Piedmont Park when Sebastian was still a toddler. Fast-forward to our latest session at Grant Park, and both kids are basically photo pros.

We got the traditional family photos out of the way and had plenty of time for the fun stuff. Including Dan pulling off a surprisingly impressive swing dismount in dress shoes.

Thankfully, everyone survived.

One of the best parts of photographing the same Atlanta families over the years is watching the kids go from needing constant entertainment to coming up with their own ideas.

We still get the photos Grandma wants. We just have a lot more fun getting there.

More from the their latest session on the blog!

I first photographed Nisha and Ryan in 2021 when they were pregnant with Declan, back in that weird post-COVID period when they didn't actually see the bottom half of my face until the following year. 😂

Five years later, I still get to photograph Nisha, Ryan, Declan and Gritsy year after year.

We usually meet at Murphey Candler Park, but this time we explored a different side with more wooded trails, a bridge and, very importantly if you ask Declan, a playground.

One of my favorite things about repeat families is getting to watch the kids change from year to year. Especially when I can look back and remember photographing them before they were even born.

Always happy to see these four. ❤️

Gireesh and Karishma are expecting a baby girl in November, so we met at Winn Park for their maternity photos.

Gireesh is also a photographer, which meant he already knew two very important things: overcast skies are excellent and golden hour is top tier. 😂

He also picked out Karishma's dress, so clearly he came prepared.

Such a sweet evening documenting these two before their family officially becomes three. 💕

Last time I photographed the Seids, we were waiting for Joel.

This time, he was here. ❤️

I came back to photograph Chelsea, Mike, Hayes and Lev as a family of FIVE after Joel arrived on August 21.

We kept the whole newborn session at home, let the boys be themselves, let Joel sleep through the commotion and obviously made room for the dogs in the family bed photos.

Three little boys + dogs + a newborn session. Perfectly calm and orderly, obviously. 😂

Welcome to the family, Joel.

Amanda and her husband eloped, so they never had a formal engagement or the engagement photos that usually come with it.

Then he surprised her with the engagement ring she never had. ❤️

They were celebrating with a family dinner at Canoe, so we decided to do both: photos with their kids and Amanda's parents first, followed by the romantic photos the two of them never got the first time around.

Gardens, river, ridiculously pretty light, a gorgeous ring and two people who are already well past the awkward getting-to-know-you phase.

Turns out there is absolutely no expiration date on engagement photos.

Baby Camille joined a house that was already very much in motion. 😂

Big brother Aiden was running around hammering away in his room while we got started, Raeleigh was VERY ready for her turn in front of the camera, and Camille? She slept through basically all of it.

We photographed the Davidsons at home before heading outside to their family-owned nursery, where Dad was completely in his element showing me the plants and telling me about the property.

This is why I love newborn sessions at home. You get the new baby, of course, but you also get a little snapshot of what the whole family looked like at that exact moment.

Welcome, Camille. ❤️

I’ve been photographing this family since Yasmin was pregnant with Soriya, and now somehow we’re here with THREE girls. ❤️

Soriya, Shy + Sunday brought exactly the right combination of sweetness, movement and sister chaos to their session at Murphey Candler Park. And John is officially very, very outnumbered. 😂

Atlanta weather tried to make things interesting, as usual, but the forecast cleared just in time for golden hour before John headed back to Australia for the season.

I love getting to watch families grow through my camera, especially when I’ve been around since baby #1. Seeing these five together now feels pretty special.

Last summer I photographed Maria + Patrick with Owen, and this time they had one more little guy to introduce me to. ❤️

Baby Max joined the family, and big brother Owen brought exactly the amount of toddler energy you’d expect to his newborn session. 😂 A toddler + a newborn is basically its own sport, but somehow we still managed to get the sweetest snuggles, brother moments, and plenty of time with Mom + Dad.

Meanwhile, Max was perfectly content to sleep through most of it and even gave us the biggest little smile with Dad.

This is why I love in-home newborn sessions. No pressure for everything to be perfectly calm or perfectly posed. We just work around real life and capture this stage exactly as it is.

Welcome, Max. ❤️
