I guess it’s time to announce….I’M BACK! But with some changes!!!

I’ll be working solely on headshots and demo reels for variety/cirque performers. This will be a great opportunity to help elevate budding entertainers all around the Atlanta area and the first one will be shared soon.

I’ve just been doing personal projects since the last few sessions on this page for studio and promo headshots, so let me know if you want to book a shoot (especially before it gets too cold!) *still no weddings 😘**

My style has changed a lot over the past 9 years! I tend to lean towards light and airy, but also love moody and textured, or crisp and vibrant - one thing has been constant — my passion is people. Capturing the moment the unstaged or posed but facial expression in-between - where you see it and go “that’s it. That’s the one! That’s me.” 💙

Guess who’s back?!

So I went to dissolve my LLC earlier this year and as fate would have it, I missed the earlier deadline 🤦‍♀️so I would still need to renew before filing. I I thought, “why not” 🤷‍♀️and just decided to leave as-is— though I have taken down my website. Because of shifting my focus to aerial work 🎪, I will rebuild if the right time comes, but for now you can still find me here and on Facebook.

I’ve been self-taping for my own shows and editing since COVID hit and find myself drawn back towards that side of production as well! 🎥 📸

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I have a LOT to be grateful for this year, but most importantly- the chance to focus on passions. Most of you know (and should follow if you don’t!) I am shifting my focus to performing and teaching aerial in 2020– that being said I am stepping back from Karen Rooker Photography. The name still exists, but I’ve been following the call, my heart, and where I feel the Lord has been leading me to keep teaching others at the same time.

I will still take on select shoots, time permitting, but I am an on even more limited schedule (along with my day job)!

Thankfully, I have some EXTREMELY talented photography friends and contacts and will be referring out work should you have any needs.

I am back from hiatus! I was super lucky to not only capture the Blair's in their first home...but also welcoming baby Grady! Fun fact: Annamarie and I are the same age-- less than 2 days apart! We met doing theatre and always said we were "twins"!
