I should have started my own school the day after I dropped out of Howard U in 2013. I knew I never wanted anybody else to feel like education was something you had to be "fit" for. What most people do not know is that I joined the Army in 2011 with high hopes of being deployed and running away from all previous failures. I almost ended my life in 2012 because I felt like there was no "structured system" in this world for ME. I actually believed that at 17/18 yrs old I was hindering growth for my culture.

My work will always involve educating others with my gifts and sharing the same kind of love that kept a young brother alive.

Honored to be speaking at my old high school tomorrow from 1-3pm. This means more to me than anything seeing as though I wasted just about every second spent at this place, fought their ideas of education and almost didn’t graduate. Now im back to tell a hell of a story about how I flipped my situation.
