It is hard to believe that this little squishy blankie and sammy cuddling just turned legal!! 🥂😳🥰 l experienced the most amazing thing l have ever accomplished in my life... creating beautiful YOU my Maryn love bug. And this year... l guess the adulting is hitting full tilt bc lord was that a ton of fun making your midnight on big 2️⃣1️⃣ in NASHVILLE 🤩🥂 🎂 My wish for you is that you fully embrace all of your beauty inside and out, that you surround yourself with only those worthy of your goodness. You are my daughter, and l know how it is to have a heart that is bursting with love for others in this world, and all the adversities that come with that. I hope your heart never changes and that you discover and nurture your talents... because there are so many known and yet to be discovered. I've watched my heart walk outside my both for 21 years... and l will continue to do so. 🥰 l love you to the moon and back. Happiest of birthdays my baby love! ILYSM and am so so proud of you! 💪🏻😘💕💕

And that's a wrap for year 1️⃣4️⃣ 💛 🎗️
We completed our HOPE JARS and birthday cards for the family. The hope jars are where we fill the jars with multiple messages to each family member so later on they can remember lighthouse, read messages of prayer and inspiration and always know they have an army of FRamily behind them. Lighthouse extends beyond our 5 days together💛

We hosted our beach picnic, family pictures for the guest families and "See ya laters" (we never say goodbye at lighthouse)
We arrive as strangers and leave as family. That’s a Pretty special place for that to happen in 5 days 💛

My KK has been serving with this ministry most of his life. My heart could just burst with pride on this dude. When you feel your kids just "get" it. Take initiative and have matured to a point where they make their own choices in how they love, how they serve and how they implement what they have learned all these years. I've seen such a huge journey of maturity with this boy. I'm so proud of him. 🥰
Thank you our Carol .carol for loving, mentoring and showing up for my children (AND ME!) all these years! I don't know what I'd do without you! Love you so much!

It is not too late to give. Lighthouse turns away many families applying to attend a retreat and even with multiple retreats at 2 locations, we do not have the funds to say yes to each one of them. Help us say yes to a baby struggling with the fight of their life! 🎗️💛

Last nights special gift was night of worship. We do not know where these families are in their faith journey, but we share ours daily and show them Gods love and presence is there. Even in their darkest days that they may have lived already. Or are still to come. God is good. ALL the time.

Lighthouse Family Retreat day 2 and 3 because whoa have we been busy...
it gives new meaning to Philippians 4:13 "l can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" 🤣 🥰

Days of REST and JOY
2 anomalies in the life of a family living through childhood cancer...
FLIP FLOP time is when we love on the kiddos for 2 hours while their parents receive ministry and bonding time with other families living the same hardships. We do this daily while we are here... it's a next level exhaustion but hearts are happy 😊 💕
And last night....
UNbirthday.
It’s not just a novelty from alice in wonderland 😊
Once diagnosis is received, many Of these families are ripped apart for special milestones like birthdays, spending special days in hospitals. At for one night, we try and make up for all those missed moments… as best we can. The lighthouse way. 🥳🎉 and the reality is, every day is a precious gift and we are not guaranteed tomorrow....
it’s everyone’s birthday for one night! 🍕 and 🍭 🍨 overload while their parents get a much needed date night. This year Our assigned family is a single mama....
we gave her a little break! Many of these parents haven’t been away from their child or had a break since diagnosis. We treat them to a night out while we have a dance party. Sweet big sis A won the limbo contest and was rewarded with the coveted 🥧 in the hosts face... she got him good! ❤️ 😂

Lighthouse Family Retreat 2025 Day 1/2 I'll start by giving a huge hug of gratitude 🥰 to all of you that donated to help us serve these very deserving families living through childhood cancer. 🎗️ Now that we have arrived and met our designated family, I can now share with you this years photos so you can see where your dollars are revealing their purpose. Link is still live! Please help! Lighthouse has to turn away many families every year because we just don't have the budget to take everyone! Your generosity helps us be the hands of feet of heavens blessings on these kiddos!

Day 1/2: SERVE/REST

Love has no boundaries and requires no compromise. Kindness has no cost.
And regardless of what your adversities and circumstances, time is a commodity you choose to give.
The word FAMILY doesn’t have to include DNA. Purpose can connect. A hand or hug can save the world. I love these people.

Pray for sweet A..and his family! Cancer keeps families separated and stressed. We pray the P family feels our Ritz level service and is able to accept our love this week!
