I’m Katie Griffin, owner of 12 Gage Photography, and I can honestly say that all of my work is outdoors-inspired. I grew up in the 90’s and was one of the last generations to be gone outside, unsupervised, all day long. The outdoors is where the magic happens and capturing moments where imagination meets intimacy is what drives me. High school seniors, families, maternity portraits and creative sessions are my favorites. My portrait sessions are divided by time and the number of images edited. For extended family sessions, a full portrait session is required. If you have an idea or need ideas, shoot me an email, I would love to bring to life your vision for your session. My email is [email protected]. I require payment at the time of the portrait session and will have the images delivered via email in 3 weeks. I choose which images are edited based on my eye and my style.

I have opened up two dates for this rustic, Christmas on the farm session! There is a buffalo plaid clothes line and an open field for your family to pose in for those Christmas cards. Nov 7 & 21. Times available: 4pm, 4:20pm, 4:40pm.

I loved getting to meet Jessica's family! Kevin's dad and Anne were in town and we got to include them in on the session as well! Their beautiful property at sunset was gorgeous. And the boys kept me laughing the entire session. They are so sweet and they were such good helpers too!

Hope and I go waaaaay back. And when she reached out to me for some updated family photos, I was ecstatic to get to see her and her daughter, Gracie, again and meet her husband. We booked these for Saturday, then a hurricane happened. So we rescheduled to Sunday and it rained, got cloudy, super windy and then the sun came out just as Austin got down on one knee. It was the neatest thing.
Gracie was truly surprised when she turned and saw Austin down on one knee. (Which is very challenging to do!) Her now fiancé, Austin, and her mom pulled this off perfectly. Austin acted like he didn't really care about this photo session, kept forgetting the time and location and that really threw Gracie off. Good job, Austin!
Hope, your family is beautiful and so much fun. I've missed you and Gracie so much! I loved getting to know the guys too! And Austin and Gracie, thank you for making me tear up with happy tears as I watched you two say yes to your new life together. Gracie- you chose really well. And Austin- you are getting a gem of a human! I'm so happy for you two!

It's not everyday you get to photograph Miss CHS! I loved getting to capture these senior portraits for Neveah. She has the best style, she can literally do anything and everything and she has the brightest future ahead of her too! My favorite moment was when she got her French horn out and that first pose with it was the biggest smile I got the whole session. This girl is musical, she loves science and I am convinced there's nothing she can't do well. Thank you for such a fun and laid back senior session! And thank you, Wyndhaven Family Farm for hosting us! Your farm is PERFECT for senior portraits!

The sweetest family agreed to model for me last week at the open house for Wyndhaven Family Farm. Thank you so much, Landis, for the help. Your beautiful kiddos did so great! I loved getting to meet your sweet baby girl and watching G be such a good big brother.

Happy birthday, Marsha! Here is a preview of their extended family session that her kids gifted her with. We waited til after Brooke and Alister were born and then we got caught in a rain storm so I got to see them twice in one weekend!
Marsha, your family is so beautiful and so fun and kind too. I laughed so hard during your session and while editing. So much personality in one photo! I loved getting to catch up with y'all! I did Sarah's wedding as well as Halley's wedding and seeing all of them with their beautiful babies while chasing toddlers around too, such a full circle moment.

My outdoor Christmas Minis are now booking! I have shot at this farm for 2 years and each year they add a little more magic to their farm! This year, they are working on a greenhouse 😍 It *may* be ready by our session, so I’m thrilled about that! And if not, there are still so many photo ops there, the sessions will be magical, no doubt.
