August 29, 2015.
I photographed the first wedding in this family.
The oldest of four.
A Nigerian traditional wedding.
A white wedding.
A family celebrating together through my lens for the very first time.
Then her sister got married later that same year.
Then their brother in 2019.
Three weddings.
Years of memories.
And somehow… time kept moving.
Then last year I got the call again.
It was the oldest daughter.
This time, she wanted to celebrate her mother turning 70.
Everyone together again.
Children.
Grandchildren.
One room full of love and history.
And somehow, after all these years, they still trusted me to capture it.
Especially going into Mother’s Day, this session reminded me of something important:
Photos become more valuable with time.
One day, the people in these photos become the memories we hold onto most.
Truly enjoyed going back down memory lane with ❤️
