It’s hard to explain what it feels like to finally share a story that’s lived in your heart for years.

Today, I published the first letter from Letters from the Distance — a project that’s part memoir, part creative reflection, and fully me.

This first piece, The Art of Starting Again, is about loss, family, and how photography has always been my way of holding on.

When I look back now, I see that the camera was never just a tool — it was how I found my way back to love, to light, and to myself.
