I gave up commenting on political things on social media a few years ago. I’d rather spend the time looking at dog videos. But it doesn't mean I'm not paying attention to everything that's happening. And it definitely doesn't mean I'm not doing anything, and you know I've never ever been neutral.
Right now, LGBTQ+ rights are (still) under attack. Trans rights are being chipped away daily. And now, stinky ol’ Kim Davis is back in the news. (Yes, the same county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.)
So here’s my plan: I have 5 wedding spots left for next year. For every booking, I’ll donate $200 to Lambda Legal in her name. I already checked and I can absolutely do it.
It’s a win-win. You get amazing wedding photos. Lambda Legal gets more resources to fight for our rights. And Kim Davis… well, she gets a donation receipt with her name on it. Bwa ha ha.
Marriage is forever. Petty is eternal.

1. Marriage is forever. Petty is eternal. Tie the knot. Twist the knife.
2. I try not to spend all my time on social media complaining. Usually, I’d rather do something. Make an impact. Even if it's small.
3. But when it comes to politics, it can feel like there's no way to fight back. Especially when it affects our lives.
4. Right now, LGBTQ+ rights are under attack. Trans rights are being chipped away daily. And yes, stinky ol’ Kim Davis is back in the news.
5. So here’s what I’m doing: I have 5 wedding openings left for 2026. For every booking, I’ll donate $200 to Lambda Legal in Kim Davis’ name. (I checked. You can totally do it.)
6. Getting married with a touch of spite is valid. Love wins. Spite helps.
7. Do it for the love. Enjoy it for the petty. Because marriage is forever, but petty is eternal.
